Sangha Café is an open community cafe based in Groningen, The Netherlands.  Sangha Café values connection, authenticity and healthy living practices and its aims of making a more community oriented society.

I designed a poster for Sangha Café to promote their 'Dance & Soul' event, during which the cafe became a space for ecstatic dance, games and art, concerts, mantra singing and other activities. 

Together with the organizers we decided that the theme of playfulness should be predominant in the poster. This is why I chose some playful element such as flowers and bubbles. 

In addition, I added the eye as it is reminiscent of a the Spiritual aspect that the cafe embodies.

Besides using some of the colours from Sangha Cafe's colour scheme (namely pink, orange and light blue), I added a dark blue for contrast, a bright red to give a lively and playful feel and a peach colour to complement the orange.
